Dear Family,
Time is moving faster and faster. I remember that in times past I would say to Roylene " I can't wait until this or that happens". She would always say " You are wishing your life away". Now I don't have to wish. It just rushes on and disappears before my eyes. Last friday we drove to Zagreb as I had an interview with an american member who works for the American Embasy. He has turned his life around and is to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood. Then in December they will be in the states and go to the temple to be sealed as husband and wife and baby daughter. He needed to know that he was forgiven and that he needed to forgive himself. It was fun to visit with him and give some counsel as well as teach about the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood. Then we went to Osijek on saturday. The senior couple there took us to Vucavar where the Serbs attack the Croatians at the begining of the war. It happen 15 years ago and there is still alot of damage. It is amazing to see. There was alot of traffic as they were celebrating the end of the conflict on the 18 Nov. We stayed overnight and went to church. Roylene and I were the only speakers. Roylene gave a talk about the god head and I talked about member missionary work. This little branch has 42 members of record, but only about 8 were at church plus the missionaries. The Evans ( the senoir couple there and he is the Branch President ) are related to Tammy Weights Brother Coles wife. They are from Duchesne and are really good people. Sister Evans knows Roylenes aunt and uncle that used to live in Tabiona. They have died, but apparently the Evans used to live there. We went to the store today as Roylene invited missionaries in Ljubljana for Thanksgiving Dinner on thursday. Tomorrow I have all four Assistants to the President coming for planning meeting and then on wednesday we have Mission Council with the AP's and the Zone Leaders, and a set of Sisters from Croatia, and a Senior Couple from Croatia. So Roylene will be cooking for three days in a row. She has some help with the Family History Sisters. Sister Ashton is from our ward. It will be a good boost for the missionaries. We continue to work as hard as we know how and the Lord continues to bless the mission. When missionaries work hard with faith and they are obedient they always have success. If only they could always remember basic things and do them. The Book of Mormon has all of the answers to success in missionary work. We really live the Book of Mormon and see the same things every day. Love all of you and wish you HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Love Dad
