Thank you for the email. You sound like your same happy self. We love you and appreciate the service that you gave to this mission. I am sure that it will still be blessed because of your faithful prayers. It is ok to use me as a reference. I will be happy to tell anyone how wonderful and capable you are. Isn't that great that Uros is very serious about a mission now. He was the first one that I met with President Aardema on my first day here. I tried then to teach him that he should prepare and go. His mother is still waiting for his return before she will be baptised. Ana's date is set for the 26 of August. We have 35 baptisms so far this year with one that is happening in Ljubljana on saturday. It is Jan Masic. He is 21 years old. After he found the gospel he also found Ava and they are dating seriously. We have four couples that are members and engaged with two more that are starting to date. All of them are from Croatia. Imagine the difference that will make in 10 years time. I am anticipating 12 baptisms in August. It should happen. We have more commits than that and they all are pretty strong. The Assistants set a goal in mission council for every missionary to find a new investigator this week. That is two per companionship. To do this they are all trying to get their 10 contacts per day all of the week. It will be interesting to see how that goes. Also the Assistants are going to Kosovo for two more baptisms on 5 August. Hopefully we can get some more men taught and converted there. The work is always work, but we are also always very blessed. Remember to make the next two years the best two years of your life. Maybe not the same as a full time mission. But they also can be very special as you continue to live the gospel and bless the lives of others.

Hi President,
How are things going in Slovenija? I hope the mission is progressing
great and that there are tons of baptisms!
Things here in Arizona are fine. Hot, but good. We got home safely
from our trip, and I've now been home for a bit over a week. I think
that I'm getting back into the groove of things and adjusting. My
friends tell me I'm normal, but I still feel weird and a little out of
place. Every time I see my name tag in my closet I almost reach for
it out of habit.
I gave my homecoming report on Sunday, and it was so wonderful to be
able to tell the people in the ward about the members in Slovenija.
Kind of a neat experience, to help share experiences of members on the
other side of the world with members here in my hometown. It's
amazing how the gospel is the same everywhere and truly connects us.
I'm also looking for a job- probably one of the most unpleasant
experiences. I'm wondering if I can use you for a reference on
applications? Could I use your email and your phone number? It
would be wonderful because you know me pretty well.
My family and I are headed up to Utah in a couple weeks for a family
reunion. Hopefully I'll be able to see some former missionaries. I
also heard that Uros Stampe is going to go on a mission? How is
Dusica- has she decided for a baptismal date yet? I hear that the
Sisters in Celje have a baptismal date with Ana? When is it?
Oh man, I really miss the missionary work? Tell everyone that I say
hello- the missionaries, the senior couples, the members, everyone.
I hope that you have a great day. Enjoy Slovenija while you can.
Love,
Sister Bate
