Thought that you might enjoy this. Love ya Dad

Dear Elder Wondra,
Just a short report on the Slovene District Conference this last weekend. There was a very good spirit in all meetings. Here is the attendence:
District Presidency Meeting 4
Priesthood Leadership 37
Saturday Evening Adults 59
New Convert Meeting 16
General Session 112
We also approved and ordained four men to the Melchizedek Priesthood. Two are converts and two are second generation members.
We sustained two clerks for the District so now they have a complete Presidency with President, Counselors, and Financial and Membership Clerks. The Membership Clerk will also function as Executive Secretary for now. We focussed on missionary work in the Priesthood Session. The three Branch Presidents set a goal for convert baptisms during that session. Maribor 40, Celje 25, and Ljubljana 36. That is 101 for the year 2007. We have taught them how to do a Branch Mission Plan and we have taught the members their personal responsibility to find people for the full time Missionaries to teach. We also taught them how to do that and we comitted the priesthood to let the missionaries come to their home to followup on this. In the General Session we taught the members how to find using questions of the soul and the Book of Mormon to answer those questions. Also how to use prayer to touch the heart of those they contact. And how to use it to bless their lives. The District Presidency is comitted to having monthly meetings with the Branch Presidents for training and reporting. At the next one on 24 November they will set goals for 2007.
I feel that things will move forward at a more rapid pace as we establish the church more fully in Slovenia. We also taught that it should not take a long time for someone to gain a testimony and join the church. We just had two ladies join after only 2 and 3 weeks of lessons. We taught the members again about President Hinckley three points to retaining new converts and how the members must be responsible to see that this happens. Thank you for all that you do to help us in this mission.
