Dear Family,
Roylene and JR Hansen are responsible for going shopping here the day after Thanksgiving. We had all of the missionaries in Ljubljana for thanksgiving dinner. I told Roylene we could only do it if they only stayed for the meal and then went back out to work. They were all so obedient. Anyway the next day as I said Roylene and JR took us shopping for almost the whole day. We bought some carpet for my office as the current carpet won't clean up. Also Roylene bought new dishes for the mission home as we have so many guests all of the time and there was a shortage of dishes anyway. She also bought some more decorations for Christmas. Then we bought food for the Young Single Adult event. It was a great success. We had 42 YSA here. Eight came from Serbia and 6 from Croatia. The rest came from Slovenia. It was planned for and hosted in Slovenia at the church. Because the Serbians and Croatians came early with the train schedule we brought them to the mission home and prepared BBQ hamburgers. It was a big success. Then they went to the church and had self defense instruction by a couple of the members. Then there was line dance instruction and practice. It was great because they all participated and they were all new at this so they were all at the same leavel. A young sister member from Scotland is here in Ljuljana and she did the demonstration and instruction. President Ridge she is wonderful to listen to as she talks. It is great to hear that Scotish accent. Then they had pizza and then a dance. It is really building the future leaders of the church in this mission to have such events. They all get along so well even though their countries were at war not too many years ago. It is great. They stayed over for church today and I had the counselor in the Branch that was conducting invite two of them to share their testimony. One young man from Serbia and one young sister from Croatia. They were both just baptized this last month. It was great as they really added to the spirit of the meeting. It is a miracle that both of them are members. The young man from Serbia found the church on a trip to Finland. He came back and was taught and baptized. The member that befriended him in Finland flew into Serbia and he did the baptism. The young lady from Croatia had to waite along time to get permission from family to be baptized. She has been through alot. Even a past boy friend tryed to set her on fire. She is amazing determined young lady. We are so blessed and feel so much will keep happening to grow the faith of these young members if we can continue to have activities for them. Especially as we let them plan and carry them out. We just get to help and to arrange for funding of them. Roylene and I feel that great lasting progress will happen because of these Young Single Adults. The CES couple Elder and Siste Lunt are great and involved in this as well. The Hansens help so much too with transportation and support. The YSA really enjoy Elder Hansens personality. Keep up those prayers. We love each of you and enjoy hearing from you. Our time is going by fast. We have interviews this week and then I have to fly to Budapest Hungary for a meeting on saturday and back that night. I will spend friday night there before the meeting. Then we start our next Zone Conference tour. Life goes on. Sure love each of you. Have a good week. Love DAD
