Dear Family,
You will find attached a brief Historical Report for the year 2006. I did not send you the multiple page detail that was also included and sent into the church via the Area Office. These eight items have major impact on the future of the church and its growth here. It is a joy to witness it. Yesterday Roylene and I made a trip to Zagreb where I did interviews with local priesthood leaders. We need to replace the District President in a couple of weeks and I also want to have a Croatian as my First Counselor in the Mission Presidency. I received confirmation from the spirit and have sent the recommendations to the Area Presidency for approval. There are still alot of problems with the Zagreb Chapel. There have been some bad people that were hired locally in Croatia by the church staff. They are holding up the process. I am hopeful that resolution will be forth coming shortly. I also have a major challenge in Slovenia with financial records and procedures. It is all a witness to me of future success that is coming and the adversary is trying to stop the work. I have to almost laugh at it instead of get worried or upset. We have seen it time and time again of how the adversary trys to stop things. Then something wonderful happens. So I can not wait to see what is coming around the corner. We are happy and healthy. And full of faith. Our last series of Zone Conferences had a theme of obedience. I gave in my opening remarks a list of things that missionaries need to do to be more obedient. It is amazing how it can affect the work in a negative way when they do little things that are disobedient. The next week of Presidents letters were all positive so I guess I did not come across to badly.
We will be attending a wedding this saturday for Jose and Melita Estigarribia. They will be married in Celje as she has not been a member long enough to go to the temple. It will be interesting as his family is from Paraguay and they are all members of the church and she is Slovene and going to school in Zagreb and none of her family are members. I must close this and go. Have a great week. We will. All of them are great. Some are just better than others. Love Dad
