Dear Family,
Alot has happened since I wrote last. We had a wonderful Mission Presidents Seminar in Grinderwald, Switzerland with Elder Uchtdorf presiding. Also in attendence was Elder Rasband of the Seven Presidents of the Seventy. And our Area Presidency ( Elder Robert C. Oaks, Elder Erich Kopischke, and Elder Johann Wondra ) What a spiritual feast. We came home and had a Mission Tour with Elder Kopischke and his wife. We did Mission Council in Ljubljana at our home and the next three days we traveled at night and did Zone Conferences during the day in all three countries. Then Elder Kopischke presided at Croatian District Conference. It was the best one yet. That District is starting to function well with good leaders. There is still plenty of things to work on that need improvement but they are heading the right direction and improving every week. We also regularly see the hand of the advisary trying to stop the work here. It makes me think of Joseph Smith and how he had opposition all of his life. But truth prevailed. We with our limited view often do not see the big picture. We don't see how little things can make a big difference for good through time. We must keep in mind that the hand of the Lord is in this work and he knows the beginning to the end. We must just do our part which is all that we can do. We must use all our own power ( might, mind, and strength ) to do as he has ask us. Then he will do the rest. Just think of the first vision and how the adverary came and tried to stop it. Joseph used all his personal strength and then when he was about to give up the power of God interviened and his will was accomplished. That gave Joseph Smith extra strength to fight against Satan the rest of his life. Joseph knew he could do difficult things and then God would sustain him and interviene when needed. Last night we made a quick trip to Rijeka to do a fireside with the YSA there. They are experiencing contention so we went and met with them for a fireside. Roylene also spoke and taught them by using a childrens book "You Are Special". I hope they will move ahead in unity. Today and tomorrow I preside at Slovene District Conference. Then on monday it is interviews with departing missionaries and then on tuesday we send them home and Roylene will travel with them for Aaron's and Tiffany's wedding. Then I have to travel and do interviews with all of the missionaries. Life is good. The gospel is true. We are very blessed. Love Dad
