Dear Family,
Well Rick I figured out how to add your new address to the family list. It was not as bad as I thought. Maybe it is because of all of my sons expertise and my association with them. That includes especially you. Thanks. Well Roylene and I are off this morning to Germany for the annual Mission Presidents Seminar. It will be presided over by Elder Ballard and he will have with him Elder Tingey and Elder Huntsman. Elder Tingey is the one that set Roylene apart for her mission. He was also the Area President for part of the time that I was Stake President. We will also have the Central Europe Area Presidency there with Elder Hafen, Elder Paul, and Elder Wondra. I know that it will be a great experience to learn from these men and to associate with other mission presidents and their wives. We are having greater success in this mission. There have been baptisms 10 of the last 13 weeks. We will have 14 baptisms for August after this saturday. I was praying for 15, but we came really close. That will put us at 49 for the year to date. That is huge in this mission. Usually in July and August they have zero baptisms because of holidays and vacations. We also have baptisms scheduled for the first two weeks of September. I told the missionaries that they now have an assembly line of converts like I ask them to do some three or four months ago. Preach My Gospel is a wonderful tool. To me it is like the Doctrine and Covenants only it was just recently written. I feel that it is very much the mind and will of the Lord for our time. Last saturday we had a baptism for Matjaz Kos. He is 29 years old and is from Mike and Karen Ferre's branch in Maribor, Slovenia. He is very firm in his testimony. Mitch he rode his bike all they way across Slovenia over 200 kilometers to the site he was being baptized at. It was in a pool of water right below a waterfall. He found the site on the internet. He said having never been there before the bike trip "that is where I am being baptized". We went there to meet him on friday the18th of August to check it out. Then he camped out in a tent and was baptized the next morning at 10 am. We have a CD full of pictures to send to you. We then left the site and went with the Ferres to Zadar, Croatia. It is on the coast. We stayed over for church and spoke there. Roylene fed about 40 people after church. It was the largest attendence they had for the year. That was because they had many members that were on vacation from Germany, Austria, Italy, and even one from Sweden. I then interviewed the missionaries while Roylene and the Sister Missionaries took the Ferres on a tour. We then drove home. It took extra time because of the vacation traffic. You will get a new Harvest message and Miracle sheets from me when we get back from Germany. We will be gone until tuesday the 29th of August 2006. Have a great week. We will. Our 40th wedding aniversary is this saturday the 26th August. Wow what exciting times these are. Keep up those prayers. They really make a difference. Thank you for them. Love Dad
