This is a final letter from a member that went to America to have his eye fixed. All expenses including the operation were paid for by members in the states. He served a mini mission for me of six months. He is about 29 and was very shy. You can see his final letter about his experience and my response to him. Hope you enjoy this. Love Dad
Dear Elder Grzincic,
Thank you for sharing this experience with Sister Weight and I. We really enjoyed the personal feelings that you expressed and you did it so well. The Lord has many things for you to do back in Croatia and that is why he opened your understanding some with this experience. Now remember to continue faithful in His service and bless others with that same knowledge that you have. Remember to testify often and to teach beautiful simple truths that you have learned by the spirit. I am so happy to know you and to have seen more of your leadership and goodness show through this experience. Thank you again. I look forward to seeing you soon.
President Weight
DeaR fOLKs,
I made a full circle and here I am again at the beginning where I started my 4 weeks long adventure through America.
My final report. My final conclusion. Boston/Norwell - Newark - Kentucky,Louiswille - Indiana, Evansvile - Utah, Salt lake city,Provo, St. George - Las Vegas - Boston. Time to say good by. So, America, good by.
After I saw all, from one to another side of this beautiful blessed country, through the great cities, hot deserts and cold mountains, ocean, green fields and all kindness, goodness and love of a truly great nation, I am speachless. I can just say thank you all. How greatful I am for this amazing experience that God greanted unto me. How happy I am for the knowledge that there are more good people and goodness in this world than the bad ones and wickedness.
I have learn alot from this. One thing is that no matter where you are the Lord will be with you and guide you with His tender mercy if you`re faithfull to Him. The gospel of Christ is the same everywhere and He lets the rain fall on good and wicked the same and lets us all to enjoy the sun above us. And again, it is a great feeling to know that wherever you go you`re not alone for there are yet `good Samaritans` to help you on your way, even manny of them. And I saw true happyness and deep sorrow, as many times before I experienced tears and laugh, but the greatness of this country and its people isn`t in the welthyness of the world even though they have it planty and it isn`t in the force and wheapons but it is in the strength of their goodness and faith in the Lord.
I can`t say number of times when I was ashamed and felt small becouse I found myself suronded by righteous and honest people who helped me and made so great efforts to met me, open their hearts and do just about anything to make it easier for me.
O, how greatful I am for each moment that I was allowed to spend with them. And how much I appreciate their example and what I`ve been taught by them. By small and simple the Lord truly does great wonder and miracles. Every step that I made through this beautiful country I could see the outpouring of blessings from Him,for all th epeople here and myself too. How good was to see an dbe with peole that I didn`t seee for the years and I finally had a chanse to met them again. How good was to share deep spiritual experiences with those that are so dear to mem and having realize their great love for me.
It is a unique experience, once in a lifetime on ecan say `I saw everything and if this would be my last day on this beautiful earth I would hav eno regrets at all.
Of course, I can`t forget to thank all of you that acompanied my journey by reading about it and making me less alone and closer to wonderful people. Thank you and good by from America.
