Dear Family,
I am sending this email under protest. We have not heard from only Aaron, Laney, and Janice. It is along time since we heard from others. Oh well. We are happy and busy. I have been sick this week. It is a blessing to have it happen now as we have just finished District Conference this past weekend. It was one where I was assigned to preside over. We had a theme of Missionary Work except the theme at the saturday evening session was on the temple. It is the first time we have held a schedule of meetings like they do at home. In the past they held two meetings on sunday. We will see if I can get them to do it like this again next time. The conference went very well and there was a good spirit. I hope the members will follow through with being member missionaries as they were taught how to do it. We leave on friday to go to Croatia for friday through sunday. We will be in Osijek on sunday and of course be speaking in church. It has been almost six months since we were there. It is getting harder to get to each branch as we used to. Especially since they added Serbia this year. But we do have Districts now functioning and they do monthly visits. So it is not as important that we go. This has been one of my goals to more fully establishing the church here. That is to get District Presidencies fully staffed and functioning. We still have quite a way to go to get Serbia functioning. But Croatia and Slovenia are doing very well. We have more baptisms scheduled for this weekend. In fact a family will be baptized in Novi Sad, Serbia Branch. This branch is doing better and I hope it will more than double in size this next year. It is possible. Of course all things are possible to him that believeth. Roylene has had three trips to the dentist and she really did well. I am so proud of her. You know how she hates the dentist. It was a lady dentist. The Dental Assistant was a happy smiling heavier set young lady. I think she needs the gospel. She would make a good missionary just because of her happy attitude. This happens to us all of the time. We see people that are kind and basically good. We only wish we could speak all of the languages here to help them know what we know. We have a couple coming in a little while so I must end this. They are coming to get the flu shots and the sister will give them tomorrow to the Slovene missionaries. We had to drive into Austria about one and a half hours away to pick the Vaccine up. An Area Authority Seventy left them at a members house. Since I was not feeling well the Hansen's drove our car and I and Roylene were passengers in the back seat. Sure love and miss all of you.
Love Dad
