Dear Family,
What day is it anyway? I just wrote it seems, but I guess that was over a week ago.
Last week 28 March we met the Elder and Sister Miles at the airport. They must be living right because most of their luggage came. It seems we have a problem with lost luggage. The next missionaries are coming through Paris so hopefully it gets better and not worse. On the 29th of March we did Slovene Zone Conference and then drove to Zagreb and on the 30th we did Croatia Zone Conference. Then on the 31st we drove to Serbia and did Serbia Zone Conference and drove that same day back to Zagreb for the night. We had the Central Europe Area doctor with us. He is highly entertaining as well as well versed in the scriptures. We then said goodbye to the Moody's and drove to Varazdin and held a baptismal service for six people. A family of four and a girl that is 13 and a young man that is 24. What a special day that was.
We also had Elder and Sister Heath with us for the Zone Conferences. They are serving in Varazdin so I was worried with their absence that week that something would go wrong with the baptisms. Sure enough old scratch tried to stop five of the six, but the missionaries turned it around. The Branch Mission Leader helped also. I went with Elder Heath to get the member to come that introduced the family of four to the missionaries. We got her to come and she brought another friend that felt the spirit and the sister missionaries are now meeting with her. On sunday we watched a DVD of conference saturday sessions. It was made in Austria and our District President arranged to show it and do live transalation for the members that don't speak english. We had all three branches in Slovenia in attendence. There were also alot of investigators that came. On monday we held a dinner for another depart set of senior missionaries, the Lee's. They were replaced by the Evans from Duschene. The Evans are aunt and uncle of Cole Kelley's wife. Small world isn't it. On tuesday the 5th of April we went to Maribor and Celje. I had interviews for the up coming temple trip to do. We went to lunch with the Ferres and the Miles. It was great. We also had taken with us a sister from Ljubljana to work with the sister missionaries in Maribor for the day. They had some really good lessons. She came back with us at night along with a siste member that is 86 years old. She was in Maribor doing Geneology. The Family History Missionaries are having great success. Last night we met with two sister members of Slovenia about their call from me to serve a two month mission. They will be a blessing and it will bless their lives. Well I have to go. We love all of you. Keep living the gospel. It is true. Love Dad
