Keep us posted on Kira and Hunter. Love Dad
Dear President Weight,
Thank you so much for your very kind email and your sweet words. I just got back to Kosovo, and I was planning to write you to thank you for allowing Burim to be baptised during the conference. He is almost glowing. He is so excited about the church and missionary work, and I am so very proud of him. He continues to be a great example since his return, and even gave his spot up for a trip to the USA this summer so that one of the youth volunteers in our music program could go instead. When Ali heard this, he told Burim that this is such an amazing example of generosity that he wants to be baptised as soon as the church comes here officially. (Ali is still a little afraid, but he is definitely on the right track.)
We are all very sad that the Sweeney's will be leaving us next week, but are praying that they will return in September. Having them here has made the greatest difference in our ability to hold church regularly and to teach so many young people. They are fantastic. When they leave we will continue to hold church on Sunday at my house, but because of the distances I'm not sure how many will be able to come. The group from Gjakove will be able to attend, of course, but I'm not sure about the girls from Suhareka. We are hoping that Dardana will be willing to drive every other Sunday and bring them with her.
I'll be in Kosovo until mid-September, and keep you updated on things as they progress. If you have any word on missionaries, or anything else that you would like to share with our group here, please send it to me and I'll make sure that the word is spread to everyone.
Thank you again. With much love,
Liz
