Dear Family,
Well Roylene is still sick, but her fever is gone. A bird just crashed into my office window and boy did I jump. She is feeling pretty weak and run down, but is starting on the mend. It is a national holiday today called All Saints Day or Day of the Dead. It is like our Memorial Day. They decorate the cemetaries with florwers and with candles that are lite up at night. It is very beautiful. Many of the missionaries are going out contacting with a copy of the Family Proclamation rolled up and tied with a bow. We have a break from our busy schedule so that is good for Roylene to get extra rest. She is not a good patient. She is mad that she does not feel well. I sure do love her. It is amazing how she gives me input in just the right way. She will always notice something that I don't . She is very aware of others and she is such a good judge of character. We took the Hansen's with us to church in Zadar. It is about 4 and 1/2 hours away. They needed a break as they worked so hard to support our busy schedule. I was afraid that we might find them missing with a note saying they could not take it anymore and that they went home. They are great. Elder Hansen also has this bug. They stayed home to day also. When we came back from Zaday I took a road thru the country and we made it home in 3 1/2 hours. It was alot faster than our trip out. In Zaday I met with the Branch President to do some training. It always amazes me the things that I can see that they could be doing but they are not. So I teach them correct principles and hope that they improve. I know that Andy is not surprised at this story. He says I always find something wrong. I am really excited that the District President in Croatia is catching on. He is visiting the three branches that I told him to concentrate on. And he meats with the Branch President and teaches or trains them. It is great. I have a really good relationship with him now. He also is using Elder Chabries as his first counselor and that is making alot of difference. This sunday fast for our success. Specifically that each companionship will commit some one for baptism before the end of the year. I am trying really hard to change this into a baptising mission. I know that it is possible. We have 12 companionships in Slovenia and 14 companionships in Croatia. I cleaned out a file today and counted that in 2001 they had 98 missionaries here. I prefer smaller numbers of good obedient missionaries. We did have this last week a former missionary sister from this mission sending out emails to members that she has proved for herself that the church is not true. She is Sister Starrs from Palm Springs California. Boy I wonder what is going on in her life to resort to this. Makes me think of Korihor. By the way I finished the Book of Mormon and decided to start over again. It is amazing what one learns each time you read it. Well I best go. Love all of you alot. Keep doing what is right. I sent Mitch a copy of a couple other emails and ask him to copy each of you. Also one to Laney to forward on. Have a great week Love Dad
