Dear Family,
Well we survived another transfer of missionaries. Roylene had Mike and Karen Ferre come in and stay four nights to help with all of the going and coming and all of the cooking. Most missions do not have such wonderful cooks I am sure. Mike can now bake an apple pie to compete with anyone. He also makes the best salsa. Aaron I am sure will give you pictures and an update of the time he spent here. Aaron the neighbors dog is barking as I type this. A sound that you remember I am sure. Old scratch worked very hard against our baptisms in December, but we still had six baptisms. I know we will do more in January. We wanted to get at least ten for December, but it is a great start. I am making some more leadership changes in January with input and help and unity from the Croatia District President. This will also help move the work along. Since my last letter we held a Mission Council, Went to Varazdin with Aaron to a Christmas Branch party, went to a Celebration Musical for Joseph Smith's 200th birthday, did a confirmation in Zagreb, and went to church on Christmas day in Ljubljana. We then held a dinner for the five returning missionaries and a testimony meeting for them. Then to the airport the next morning to get Aaron off. For this we got up at 3:30 am. Then saw our missionaries off. Then picked up new missionaries and did interveiws. Lunch and dinner. Then the next day orientation for them and picked up 3 more missionaries for Serbia and had dinner for them. I forgot to mention that we sent the 5 other new missionaries on the train to their areas first. Then the next day we did orientation for the three Serbia Elders. The Assistants took my car to drive them on the 6 hour trip. I talked to them on the phone and reminded them my car takes diesel fuel. You guessed it. They had just completed filling the tank with gas. It took awhile to get that corrected, Aaron remember to ask Elder Clark about that in two months when he comes home. I am tired and guess I will try to go to bed early. We sure love each of you. Thanks to the ward for the sweet card for the Ferre's, Hansen's and Weight's. We also received the others but I am too tired to remember all of them. Thank you for your faith and prayers. The work is progressing because of them and because of Heavenly Fathers influence to the work. Love Dad
