Dear Family and Friends,
We arrived back from our Area Conference in Copenhagen. It was wonderful. We met with Elder Uchtdorf and Elder Robert Oaks of the presidents of the Seventy. Bethany he said to tell your parents hello. He was responsible for teaching your father the gospel, but I am sure that you know that. It was clear that he and sister Oaks love your parents and family. Elder Uchtdorf bore a powerfull testimony and taught us how to be better missionaries. He expressed the prophets love for missionaries in a simple, but powerfull way. It is great to see the mantle on him. I loved him before, but now WOW. We had very spiritual meetings. We also got to see the original Christis Statue and to see the Carl Bloch paintings of Christ's life. They are in a castle of one of the Danish rulers. We also were fortunate to go to the temple. It is a remodle of an existing LDS church. It was great to also see and renew friendships with the other mission presidents and their wives that are in our group. And of course to meet the ones that were already serving. We flew to Munich Germany and changed planes to go on to Copenhagen. The return was just the opposite. Upon arrival back I had arrranged to meet with two employees of the church that are working on getting the chapels approved for Ljubljana and Zagreb. Things are moving along but never fast enough to satisfy me. All of you know how I am. Today we had to go to the store because we were out of food being gone so long. I had my first flat tire. What an experience changing a tire on this Ford car. But we were blessed to have the flat on level ground in the parking lot after we obtained our food. I had alot of missionary letters to read when I got back from our trip. I love to hear from the missionaries. I have called some the next morning after reading a letter. They can't believe that the President felt prompted to call. It really blesses them and motivates them to be even better than they already are. We do have the best quality young men and young sister missionaries. Our couples are great also.. I have to go to the tire shop so I will write later. We do have another baptism for tomorrow and it will be in a lake about 2 hours from here. New experiences all of the time. Todd I am waiting for another letter. Ferres and Hansens we have verified that your visas are at the office here in Slovenia and we hope to get them to overnight them on monday All is good. We love all of you. Doug
