Dear Family,
It has been so long since I sent an email that I can not remember where I left off. On the 25th of April we had Assistant's planning here at the mission home. Then on the 26th we had Mission Council at the mission home with all of the Assistants ( I had four of them until the transfer on 1-3 May) all of the Zone Leaders. There are 8 of them which is four zones with two leaders or a companionship in each zone. Then a set of Sister Missionaries and on Senior Couple Missionaries. Roylene gets to provide lunch for all of them. We were at home on the 27th and then we left for Serbia District Conference on the 28th of April. The conference was presided over by Elder Hafen of the Seventy. He is our Area President. It was a great experience. We held meetings with District President, called a Councilor for him as he has been serving all alone, called a new Second Councilor to me in the Mission Presidency( my former Second Councilor is Elder Houck a senior couple missionary that goes home the end of May). We then held a meeting with the District Presidency and the Branch Presidents from the three branches. Then on saturday evening we held a Young Single Adult Meeting. On Sunday at 9 am we held a meeting with last years new converts. Then the General Session at 10 am to 12 noon. Then a lite lunch and then a joint opening exercise with the Preisthood and Relief Society and then divided them into separate training meetings for one and a half hours. Then we set apart the two new leaders and headed back home. We arrived after 10:30 pm. On monday May 1st we interviewed departing missionaries and held a testimony meeting and then had dinner with them. The Ferre's came to help Roylene with all of the cooking. The next morning it is to the airport by 7am to see them off and the back home for breakfast after a short stop at the grocery store and back to the airport to recieve new missionaries. Back home to interview them and feed them lunch. Then they go out for a couple of hours and then back for dinner and off to the hotel for a long awaited nights sleep. The next morning we hold a two hour orientation meeting and then lunch and then off to their assigned area. We took the two new Elders to Croatia and then drove back home the same day. Thursday I had a meeting with the District President from Slovenia. On friday we went with my First Councilor President Majc to reregister for Visas in Slovenia. We have to renew each year. Then we came home and had an interview with Zala a 16 year old neighbor girl that is doing a report for school on Mormons. It was great. She is a pure spirit. Today we are going to Maribor to a baptism. This has the Ferre's excited as it is a members husband. Yea one more future priesthood holder and leader. Well I have to go. Hope that you don't get too tired with all of this rambling, but just think you did not have to go through it first hand. Ha Ha. We love each of you. The mission is great. All of you need to prepare to serve one or another one which ever the case maybe in the future. The spirit is strong and your prayers are being answered. Thank you for them. Lots of love from Roylene and I . Dad
