Dear Family,
Hello to all. Thank you for the emails and the fathers day greetings. We have been traveling for a week and were not home to get them until thursday night and friday night. We had a trip to Varazdin and picked up two Sister Missionaries that went with us to Branch Conference in Osijek. There was a dinner and social with some entertainment on saturday. It was well attended. I had the opportunity to talk with and listen to some of the investigators. Two of them I found out were not coming to Sacrament Meeting the next day. So I committed them to come by asking them: What if all that the missionaries are telling you and teaching you is true? And you say that you can not give an hour of your time to come to sacrament meeting? They then promised to come and they did. After church and Branch Conference we traveled to Beograd Serbia and witnessed the baptism and confirmation of Tijana Nikolic. She is the young lady that I committed to be baptized at our Young Single Adult Conference. It was amazing to see all the people that influenced her. The Lord just kept helping her along the way and putting people in her life to help her. She will do special things in the church. When she was given a priesthood blessing at the conference I found myself saying that she needed to be baptized now as she had ancestors who were waiting for her to get baptized and then for her to get to the temple and do their work for them. She came on monday the day after her baptism and interrupted my interviews with the missionaries for a moment. She showed me a box full of family pictures going back to the 1700. She then went with the sister missionaries to see three different families of relatives of hers. This is still on monday the 19 June. One of her uncles that they visited showed her records of these relatives. I know the Lords hand is in this work. We just get the joy and blessing of seeing it unfold. We then had a dinner appointment with the Humanitarian Missionary Couple and another local couple that they have made friends with. This couple is of on some eastern religious beliefs. She said that some people are more spiritual than others. I ask her to explain why that is so. She could not but just said it is the way it is. I then taught the plan of salvation and that we are sons and daughters of God and that we developed diffferent talents before we came to earth. They are good people but misguided. We then had Zone Conference on tuesday in Serbia and then drove the Sister Missionaries back to Varazdin. We then drove to Zagren and checked into the Hotel at 10:30 pm. I was at the church on wednesday at 9 am to do interviews. It took me until 4:45 pm to complete them. Roylene and I went to dinner with the wives of our senior couples while their husbands were in a training meeting for finances. My First Councilor and the Miles along with a couple from Franfurt held the training. I stayed out of it. We then had Zone Conference for Croatia on thursday. And we drove back home that night. On friday we held Zone Conference for Slovenia. I did some interviews after. On saturday it was off to the grocery store early and wash the car and then pick up some missionaries and an investigator to go to a baptism in Celje. Today we are doing Branch Conference in Ljubljana. I will write more later as I have to go. Life is busy but wonderful. We love all of you. Thank you for your prayers.
