Dear Family
I tried to send an email earlier tonight, but the telephone line went dead and I lost the whole thing. If the phone company only knew how poor my typing skills were they would not do that to me I am sure. We had a trip last friday to Zagreb for District Conference with Elder Wondra from Austria as the visiting authority. He is an area authority seventy. Roylene and I met with he and his wife over dinner at the hotel coffee shop. No we did not have coffee. We must have talked for two hours. Then on saturday we had a meeting with him and the District President, then a meeting with him and the District Presidency, then Priesthood Leadership, then the Adult session. That took about seven hours plus. On sunday we had the general session and then a meeting with new converts and investigators. Then a three and a half hours of CCM which is a mission planning meeting complete with my counselors and both District Presidencies from Croatia and Slovenia. Roylene gave two talks with out notes and she was full of the spirit. They were really good. I gave six talks. Can you believe it? Now they can't shut me up. On the saturday evening session I had Roylene stand by me as I started and I told them how much I love her and how I am a better person because of her. These Croatians need to see how to love and show respect for womanhood. We drove home sunday evening and arrived before midnight. On monday at 5pm our couples conference started with Roylene feeding 26 people and then we had a meeting. The next day we took them on a trip to the cave and castle in Postonja. At evening we ate out and then came back to our home for a music hour. They had me sing another solo. I have really gotten myself into a mess haven't I? The next morning we met for a short two hours and then Roylene fed them lunch. I then held a three hour Mission Presidency meeting. The Ferre's and Hansen's are doing great and we love having them here. Sister RaNae Ashton from our ward received her call with a relative to come to Slovenia an set up a Family History site. The Lord is really blessing us. I had the missionaries set baptismal goals for next year. They are really full of faith as their goal is 328 baptisms. So far this year we have 20 total. I know that it is possible if they will totally follow Preach My Gospel and do all we are teaching them. Mitch have a wonderful birthday. Did you know that my mom will be 93 on the 17th of October? What a special lady. We love all of you. I think I will send this before I lose it again All our love Dad
