Dear Family,
Well the marathon continues. Monday we met with nine departing missionaries. I had about a half hour with each one to do interviews. Then we had a testimony meeting. Then Roylene fed about 28 people for dinner including some parents and Ferre's ( they came to help with all of the cooking and preparation) and Hansen's and Houck's ( he is CES and my second counselor in the mission) and Mower's. It was a housefull. On tuesday we had the departing missionaries at the airport at alittle after 7am. Then we came home after seeing them go through security and had breakfast. Then we drove back to the airport to receive our arriving 8 missionaries. We brought them to our home which is also the mission office and fed them lunch along with them same couples as mentioned above. I had interviews with them and we sent them out to work with some of our Ljubljana missionaries. Back at dinner time and Roylene fed a meal again. On wednesday we had them for orientation starting at 9am. I had to have Mowers go to the airport to pick up Sister Tanner the General Young Women's President and Sister Lifferth the first counselor for the Primary. We were still with the new missionaries training them. I had my first counselor also go and take the sisters with him and the Mowers to visit the branch Primary President in her home and the Young Womens counselor in her home. I then had to send Elder Houck my second counselor to the airport to get Elder and Sister Bruce Hafen of the seventy and our Area President from the airport. They all arrived at our home in time for you guessed it lunch. We still had the new missionaries here so it was another large crowd to feed. Roylene is amazing. Then I had two Bretheren here from the church real estate to update me on the chapels that we are trying to get building permits for. It was a great meeting and progress is being made. Then we hurried to the church for the Auxillary Training Meeting with the visiting sisters from Salt Lake and Elder and Sister Hafen. We got home at 10pm. Today I met with Gilles Francois regarding transalation. Sister Buchion from our ward knew him when she was on her mission to France. He said to tell her hello. Tomorrow I have another set of visitors from Frankfurt to teach me about how membership and finances work here in this mission. More to do. We also went into the city today to get lunch so Roylene did not have to do anything and we ran into the young lady that was baptized two weeks ago. We had her go to lunch with us and the Mowers. Then to my surprise Roylene invites her to our home to teach her how to make banana bread. Then we took her to the church at about 5pm so she could go to institute. Roylene is colapsed on the bed upstairs while I am doing this email. Saturday we will take the Hansen's with us and drive about 5 and a half hours to Zadar where we will speak in church on sunday. All is well except Roylene has a horrible cough. No tempiture but a bad cough. Pray for her. I won't let her cook for awhile either. We love your prayers and your faith.
Love Dad
