Dear Family,
Well as you know by now we have our new missionary couples finally. After the airport we fed them and let them have a nights sleep. They are just now getting their internal time clock adjusted. It is eight hours difference from home so it takes awhile to adjust. The next day we did our orientation with them and then went to Zone Conference here in Slovenia along with interviews. We taught from 3 to 5 pm how to do street contacting and then had a prayer and sent the whole zone out to find. Sister Hansen and Sister Ferre talked to a young lady student in a park and after using their language skills called over a set of missionaries to help out. They talked to her for over an hour. It was great. Also Elder Ferre and Elder Hansen sang in the park. That is right. Mitch can you emagine that? Tell the ward about them. I have changed Zone Conferences to this format. I interview then we have a two hour meeting and then we do contacting and then they come back to the church for dinner. The next day we have a one hour planning meeting with the District Leaders to plan the next six District Meetings. Then we have a three hour meeting with the missionaries and have lunch.. The missionaries then return to their various areas. We also took the Hansen's and the Ferre's with us to church in Rijeka. It is a small branch that is struggling. They all got to speak in sacrament meeting. I did my usuall 30 minutes which included singing a solo for the second time in my life. I have got to watch out or this will become expected of me. The Hansens have found an appartment and are meeting with the owner later today. The Ferre's will go tomorrow to Maribor. We leave tomorrow for a Zone Conference in the Croatia West Zone. It will be held in Rijeka, so we get to drive there again. We have another baptism scheduled for this saturday in Varasdin Croatia. She is a special young lady that has made alot of changes. It is wonderful to see the gospels influence in peoples lives. We are still stuggling with member leadership to get them to raise the bar and lengthen their stride. It would be great if all of you will pray specifically for them to have their hearts softend toward the members and to teach with love. I believe in miracles and we have seen alot of them.. One more would not hurt. I know we will see many more as we work hard and teach with love. We are also praying for more literature to be transalated into the languages. It is a slow process. I am sure when we baptize more people it will happen. Well I must go. We love all of you and we enjoy your emails and photos. Love Dad, Doug or President Weight (take your pick)Mitch please forward this as I had trouble getting it to go
